Nature's Power Plant - Soya Bean
It is at most 10 millimetres long and five millimetres wide, but
it can unlock undreamt-of energy. It's no exaggeration to say that
the soybean puts all other snacks in the shade with its amazing
nutritional value. Up to 38 percent is pure vegetable protein, and
carbohydrates and fibre each make up 15 percent.
The rest of it is made up of vegetable oil, phosphorous, iron, calcium,
magnesium, and primarily isoflavons, vital vegetable hormones that
have been proven to lower cholesterol, prevent osteoporosis and
help women deal with the symptoms of menstruation and menopause.
And as if that weren't enough, this little miracle bean contains
at least 30 percent less fat than peanuts and is especially easy
to chew. In short, the soybean doesn't make just good nutritional
sense, it makes good health sense. For all ages.
TLC in the Growing Phase
The Pannonian plain is the warmest region in Austria and is therefore
especially suited for cultivating soybeans. Here you will find the
good, nutrient-rich soil soybean crops need to thrive.
Depending on the weather, our soybeans are planted either at the
end of April or the beginning of May. We, and the farmers with whom
we cooperate, use only our own high-quality soybeans seeds, ensuring
that no genetically modified organism whatsoever mar the organic
quality of our beans.
We sow our seeds using a planting machine we specially designed
ourselves. During the growing phase, the rows of soybeans are raked
two to three times by hand. This is to make sure that no foreign
plants or wild grasses grow between the soybean plants, as they
would rob our soybeans of valuable nutrients.
Immediately after the harvest in September, the soybeans are cleaned
and selected using a specially designed machine. This is how we
make sure that only the best and the largest beans are used in further
processing.
