The Organic Chocolate
Our suppliers are from Belgium where they use
all their experience in making “conventional” chocolate
to bring a fully rounded taste of organic chocolate to our products.
Just the right amount of Cacao, not to strong to be bitter, not too
weak to be fatty, thanks to our chocolatiers we think we have found
the perfect combination.
Fair-trade is the next step, once we have established sales and can
buy with certainty, we will source organic Fair-trade chocolate. If
you work with growers or know of an excellent supply, please let us

Our Chocolate Coverings
A note about shellac
Once we set out to create our new products we came across some interesting
ingredients in the “non organic” world of chocolate and
yoghurt coverings. Interesting is not a word you may chose…….
Shellac is the shell of scale insects of over 2000 different varieties
from minuscule creatures to over 2.5 cm long.
In many, many chocolate covered items you may notice the ingredient
detailed. For consumers today, they insist on a nice hard crispy shell
and to make this many companies use shellac…..although approved
by the vegetarian society (!) it does ask the question why bother
when chocolate this good can be made without !
